Internship Opportunities Needed
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Chicago Lights is looking for businesses to provide motivated low-income students with eight-week internships this summer. High school students who have been participating in the Chicago Lights Job Training and Career Development Program will be participating in internships that provide on-the-job experience for sixteen hours a week from June 17 through August 7. There is no financial cost for the businesses hosting the internships (stipends are provided through foundation grants). It is also an opportunity to participate in a meaningful civic partnership while giving an entry-level employee a head start on planning for a satisfying career and keeping a job.
Those who would like more information or are able to help fill the need for intern hosts are asked to contact Stacy Jackson at sjackson@fourthchurch.org.
