The Academy Seal

The seal of the Academy for Faith and Life features the lamp of learning, an open Bible, and a descending dove, all set upon a symbolic globe. These symbols represent for us the intersection of faith and life, which is lifted up in Fourth Church’s mission statement. Academy study draws us into the many realms of God’s activity— the lively word of God, which we discover in Scripture; the stirring of the Holy Spirit, which dwells in us and shapes our experience of the holy;
and our encounters with the world, where we live and learn to meet God.
