In preparation for baptism, parents must fulfill two requirements: at least one parent should be a member of Fourth Church and both parents should attend an hour and a half seminar on baptism.

The baptism seminar sessions are held once a month on a Saturday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.

The dates on which baptismal seminars will be held are listed here. Childcare is provided. Please contact Emilie Syberg (esyberg@fourthchurch.org) in the Children and Family Ministry office at 312.640.2578 once you have selected the session you will attend.

Baptism dates are also scheduled through Emilie Syberg. Baptisms are usually held on the second Sunday morning of each month, but there are some exceptions. After a date is scheduled, you should receive a letter confirming the date for the baptism and providing instructions about the baptismal service itself.
