Retreats

Twice a year, Fourth Presbyterian Church offers opportunity to participate in a contemplative retreat, joining fellow members and friends of Fourth as we engage in a variety of spiritual practices that open our hearts and minds to God's love.

For more information on retreat opportunities, contact Vicky Curtiss, Associate Pastor for Mission (312.981.3598).

A Lenten Contemplative Retreat

“Deep Calls to Deep”

Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28, 2015
at The Well (1515 W. Ogden Ave., La Grange Park, Illinois)

Experience a sacred time . . .
Refresh and renew your spiritual connection with God using spiritual practices of the church. Join in worship, guided meditation, journaling, praying with images and psalms, or simply enjoy nature and solitude.

Embark on a sacred journey . . .
Join members and friends of Fourth Presbyterian Church as we journey into silence, reflecting on Christ’s death and the hope of resurrection. We begin with a shared meal and time of preparation. Following our evening worship service, we enter into the stillness and profound mystery that is the steadfast love of God. The evening and following day provide opportunity to explore different spiritual practices while enjoying the beauty and hospitality of The Well. We close the retreat breaking our silence and reflecting together on our shared experience.

Registration is $95 per person for a single room and includes three meals, resource materials, and housing. Some scholarship assistance is available upon request. Free parking is available on site. Registration forms are due by Sunday, March 22.

Please register by contacting Nancy Davis (ndavis@fourthchurch.org) at 312.274.3815 or by downloading and completing the form here.
