Funding Committee awards grants to approximately 70 non-profit agencies
and educational institutions throughout
Chicago and the United States.
Each year applications are received and reviewed by the committee.

In October, Joint Finance and the Session and Board of Trustees voted to give a gift, on behalf of Fourth Presbyterian Church, to support Presbyterian Disaster Assistance work in Haiti. That gift of $5,000 will provide emergency delivery of food, water, and kitchen utensils to those Haitians affected by Hurricane Jeanne. More than 20,000 people in Haiti are homeless as a result of that hurricane, which was responsible for at least 1,000 deaths; hundreds are still missing.
