The church expansion and tower will be located on the site currently occupied by the parking lot, Westminster House and the Lorene Replogle Counseling Center. The new joint development respects the architectural integrity and aesthetic of Fourth Presbyterian Church.

The proposed joint development for our Michigan Avenue site combines a low-rise church expansion with a high-rise residential condominium tower. The new building will be located on the area currently occupied by the parking lot, Westminster House, and the Lorene Replogle Counseling Center. The church will occupy the first six floors of the joint development. This new space will result in 70,000+ square feet to accommodate existing and expanded church programs. A conservative projection suggests the building would be ready for occupancy in 2009-2010.

Visitors will be welcomed through a new entry off Michigan Avenue into the renovated Manse/Welcome Center. A handicapped accessible and renovated entry and reception area off Chestnut Street will lead into the new congregational Gathering Hall. A new chapel on the second floor will provide a more intimate and flexible worship space for up to 300 people. Classroom square-footage will more than double, providing desperately needed new, technologically equipped rooms for church school, tutoring, and adult education.
