How Do I Get Started?
To schedule an appointment, please call the Replogle Center for Counseling and Well-Being at 312.787.8425.

A member of the staff will discuss your concerns, explain our services, and gather initial intake information. Insurance information will also be reviewed since counseling services are often included in insurance coverage. Our staff will then recommend a therapist best suited to meet your needs.

Each of our therapists schedules their own appointments. Following the initial intake call, a therapist will call you within twenty-four to forty-eight hours to schedule your first appointment. We strive to schedule first appointments within a week of the client’s first call, and we try to accommodate time-sensitive needs whenever possible.

What Should I Expect at My Appointment and during the Counseling Process?
In your first session, the therapist will gain an understanding of what it is you need. It is through this evaluation that recommendations can be made of the direction to go. It is always a collaborative effort with the client’s best interest in mind.

That process will vary depending on your goals. As certain goals are addressed, new ones may be added. Encouraging growth in clients’ lives and relationships is one of the primary goals for counseling.

How Confidential Is Therapy?
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us.

A concern of some individuals is that a friend, coworker, or family member will find out, without their permission, that they are seeking therapy. We assure you that your visits to the Replogle Center are completely confidential.

To assure you of this promise, we will ask if it’s OK to call and leave a message at your home or mail information to you. The Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) also protects you against any unauthorized uses and disclosures of your protected health information.

Are Religious Beliefs a Part of Counseling at the Center? Do I Have to Be a Fourth Member or a Religious Person?
We provide services for all those we are equipped to care for regardless of religious background or spiritual beliefs. Fourth Presbyterian Church membership is not required, nor is any religious belief.

We do, however, understand how deeply personal and often relevant one’s faith tradition and spiritual journey are to therapeutic work. Thus, while a therapist may inquire about this aspect of a client’s life, it is discussed in the therapeutic process only if the client so desires.

Do You Accept Credit Cards?
Yes, the Replogle Center accepts MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.

Will My Insurance Pay for My Sessions?
Most Replogle Center for Counseling and Well-Being therapists are participating providers with Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO. If your therapist is in-network and you choose to use your BC/BS PPO plan, our billing department will handle all the insurance paperwork for you.

If you are a member of another health plan, your therapist will provide you with the paper work that can be submitted to your plan to obtain out-of-network reimbursement, where applicable.

Coverage for services depends on your insurance plan. We will assist you as necessary in determining your benefits. Many plans provide some coverage for psychological services, but there is a great variety in terms of deductibles, co-pays, and number of sessions allowed per year.

Will You Bill My Insurance Company for Replogle Center Services?
Our billing department files claims with insurance companies with whom our providers have contracts.

If a therapist is not contracted with your insurance company, you will be responsible for filing your claims and receiving reimbursement directly from your insurance company. In those instances, the Replogle Center will provide you with the necessary paperwork for your claim form.

Are Center Providers Included in My Insurance Coverage?
Replogle Center providers are represented on some managed care plans.

During the intake process, we will assist you in determining whether we are included in your plan. You can also check for this information online at your insurance company’s website or by calling the phone number on your insurance card.
