Senior Highs’ 2013 Summer Work Camp
Saturday, July 6–Sunday, July 14, 2013
New Orleans, Louisiana
Mark your calendars for the 2013 Senior High Work Camp to New Orleans, Saturday, July 6–Sunday, July 14. We are working with Project Homecoming, which is supported by Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. Youth who will have completed Fourth Church Rising are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend with the rest of the Senior Highs.
Fourth Church has a strong history of mission in New Orleans after the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, having sent many groups in the past seven years. We are excited to continue this tradition during our Senior High Work Camp this summer. Our work with Project Homecoming will focus on home repairs and new home construction. Even seven years after Hurricane Katrina, there is still plenty of recovery work to be done. We will learn about the city of New Orleans and meet lots of people affected both by Hurricane Katrina and the work of Project Homecoming.

Please don’t hesitate to ask John or Kimberlee if you have any questions. Scholarships are available.

Presbyterian Youth Triennium 2013
Tuesday–Saturday, July 16–20
Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana
Every three years, youth (almost 6,000 of them!) from the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church come together, seeking to “connect youth and adults with activities that inspire them to be alert, active, and seek ways to connect their lives with their growing faith.” This is accomplished through presentations, studies, recreational events, mission experiences, and a whole lot of fun!
A group of Fourth Church Senior Highs will travel with the Presbytery of Chicago to Purdue University for this awesome event taking place Tuesday, July 16 through Saturday, July 20. For more information, check out the Triennium website.
There is a registration fee of $469 for this event. Download the Participant Information and the Participant Medical and Event Release forms to begin your registration.
The two registration forms and the fee need to be returned to Kimberlee by Sunday, May 26. You are not registered until we have your forms and fee in hand.
For more information, contact Kimberlee Frost or John Vest.
