“Rhythm and Word”
“Rhythm and Word” is an online opportunity for perceiving God and the sacred through spoken word and vernacular forms of music offered by the Fourth Church Jazz Ensemble.
This midweek offering on YouTube weaves together scripture, prayer, and American vernacular music, specifically jazz and its related genres blues, soul, and Gospel.
The Fourth Church pastors and the Fourth Church Jazz Ensemble put together these online midweek worship experiences — about 10 minutes in length and made available on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. — which bring together the sacred and everyday life.
