Today's Hymn
“Savior, like a Shepherd Lead Us”

Early let us seek your favor;
early let us do your will.
Blessed Lord and only Savior,
with your love our spirits fill.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,
you have loved us; love us still.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,
you have loved us; love us still.

by Dorothy Ann Thrupp
Hymn 187, Glory to God
verse 4

Reflection

Early … early in my life, I was blessed to be baptized and raised in a Christian home, learning to trust in and praise God.

Early … in the day. Each morning I need to thank my heavenly Father for a new day and ask for guidance.

Early … in a new marriage,

Early … in a new job,

Early … in the path of parenthood,

Early … in the role as caregiver,

Early … in health problems,

Early … in life’s pitfalls,

Early in every endeavor, every struggle, every joy, I need to turn to God to ask for God’s help, blessing, and guidance. I am loved and always will be.

Prayer
Blessed Jesus, pour your love upon me. Blessed Jesus, who loved me unto the cross, continue to shower your love upon me. Be my strength in moments of weakness, and lead me ever closer to you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
